Ducati Diavel 1260 and 1260 S get a new look for 2020 [PHOTO]

Anticipating EICMA 2020, as usual, Ducati presented the new features for 2020 which will then be shown at the Milan show. Among the new features presented is the new look of the Diavel 1260 and 1260 S which, launched on the market almost ten years ago, never ceases to amaze.

For 2020 the Diavel has not undergone a revolution, but several bypasses in almost all sectors. We start with the Testastretta DVT 1262 engine, which promises better acceleration and great regularity at low revs. The 1262 cm3 twin-cylinder with phase variator is capable of delivering 159 HP (117 kW) at 9.500 rpm and 129 Nm (13,1 kgm) at 7.500 rpm with a flat torque curve starting from mid-range speeds. low. Thanks to the phase variator which acts continuously on both the intake and exhaust camshafts, the engine always delivers power in the most appropriate manner for the conditions of use.

The frame has also been revised and coupled with a renewed aluminum swingarm. The electronics have also been updated and include Bosch's 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU) which can instantly detect the speed and acceleration of the bike in space, Bosch ABS Cornering Evo, Ducati Traction Control Evo (DTC) , Ducati Wheelie Control Evo (DWC), Ducati Power Launch Evo (DPL) and Cruise Control.

The sportier S version is equipped with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension at the front and rear, dedicated wheels and an even more high-performance braking system. Furthermore, the S version is equipped as standard with the Ducati Quick Shift up & down Evo (DQS) for shifting without using the clutch.

Furthermore, for 2020, the standard version will be available in the Dark Stealth color, which includes black
opaque for the superstructures, which is also combined with the rims, chassis and mechanical parts
in black with different finishes. The S version is instead proposed in Ducati red with white graphics, which alternate with black parts, giving the Diavel 1260 an unprecedented aggressiveness and sportiness, without sacrificing the style that distinguishes this model.
