The Ducati Diavel 1260 is the second generation of the Emilian naked, distinguishable for its refined and bold style and considerable power guaranteed by the Ducati Testastretta engine

When it was presented toEICMA 2010, Ducati diavel it amazed everyone with its personality, its design, its handling and its thoroughbred engine. There Ducati Diavel 1260 second generation remains faithful to the original spirit, drawing on its key stylistic elements, but updating them to a higher level. Now in fact the new one Ducati Diavel 1260 it can count on a more decisive design and higher performance: Its sporting soul is instead amplified by an engine Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262, capable of guaranteeing breathtaking accelerations.

Technical features

The chassis configuration has been improved in order to make the Ducati Diavel 1260 more responsive on mixed road rides, while the high-level technology and electronics offer braking performance equal to that of a sports bike (and do so safely, thanks to the Ducati ABS Bosch Cornering). Comfort levels for rider and passenger remain high thanks to an upright riding position and a large, generously padded seat.
The beating heart of the new Ducati Diavel 1260 is the engine Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262 cm3 with variable timing. Already widely appreciated on the Ducati XDiavel (released in 2011), it has been updated to optimize performance and equipped with chain final drive. This engine also offers a clean design with a quality finish, giving that extra touch from a style point of view too. The double cylinder engine delivers 159 CV (117 kW) at 9.500 rpm and 129 Nm (13.1 kgm) at 7.500 rpm, offering consistent pulling power from the low-to-mid rpm range to ensure robust engine response when needed.
Thanks to the variable valve timing system, the engine adjusts power delivery according to driving conditions: it is extremely smooth at low revs and becomes decidedly sporty at high revs.

The S version

To ensure you don't miss anything, Ducati he also made a version Diavel 1260S, sportier. Features include suspension Öhlins fully adjustable on both sides, dedicated wheels and an even more powerful braking system. Also, the version S it is equipped as standard with the Ducati Quick Shift up&down (DQS), the system with which it is possible to shift up and down without using the clutch, a potential that translates into greater driving pleasure and greater comfort, especially on urban routes.
The rear wheel then, wide 240 mm and with a diameter of 17 inches, remains a hallmark of Ducati diavel and, together with the new chassis setup, combines excellent handling and lean angles with particularly high levels of comfort for the reference sector.
