The trophy dedicated to desmodromic twin-cylinder engines stopped at the Franciacorta circuit, in the province of Brescia, for the last seasonal event of the event. The program began with the Supertwins, where the exciting duel between two actors of the Desmodue, the Borgo Panigale engine with two valves per cylinder, was re-proposed: Valter Bartolini and Alessandro Valia. They knew how to warm up the atmosphere of the Lombardy track starting from the tests on the track and, in the race, they dominated the scene. Valia was crowned champion, while Bartolini took the Senior title. Third, both at the finish line and in the championship, was Simone Bulai, with Stefano Ferraiuolo first in the Desmodue Stock classification and Francesco Melchionno in the Store classification.

Technical problems in Superstock for Roberto Luigi Rozza, who failed to win the last race: a few laps from the end of his session, his Ducati 1198 forced him to retire. His partner William Marchesi won the race and the section title, ahead of Claudio Brambilla and Manuel Palleschi, third overall and first of the riders on board the Ducati 848.

In this last ranking, the podium was completed with Marcello Gabrielli and Giuseppe Le Noci. Claudio Rovati first among the Rookies and Le Noci himself among the Seniors, while Paolo Mauri won the victory in the sub-category reserved for Ducati 1098. Marco Caspon, Luca Pini and Davide Grandi animated the Superbike race until the conclusion: each of the latter was in contention for the title. Pini finished the race in first position, Grandi second and Caspon, established himself in third position, still managed to win the championship by just two points over Pini.

This reconfirms that, therefore, the single-brand trophy of the Borgo Panigale motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati, has great value, as had happened in the five previous editions, thanks to spectacular races, numerous participants and enthusiasts and the motorcycles produced by Emilian manufacturer.

These are the General Rankings, which closed yesterday: in the Superbike Marco Caspon is first, with 97 points, followed by Luca Pini 95 and Davide Grandi, 81; for Superstock in the lead William Marchesi, with 86 points, Claudio Brambilla, 81 and Roberto Luigi Rozza, 72; finally, for Protwins, Alessandro Valia, with 115 points, Valter Bartolini, 106 and Simone Bulai, 61.

Furthermore, the traditional awards ceremony of the season will be held shortly, which, as mentioned above, has just ended. The appointment is for next Saturday 25 September, as part of the celebrations for the Superbike World Championship, in the square of Imola, with the presence of the official Ducati riders.
