Ducati DesertX Rally: dedicated to the most daring off-roaders [PHOTO]

It will arrive in dealerships next January

A new version, dedicated to the sportiest and most daring off-roaders: we are talking about the Ducati DesertX Rally. A model characterized by improved racing-derived components, with a unique and distinctive style and a 110 HP engine. The arrival in dealerships is expected at January 2024.

The quality characteristics

On an aesthetic level, you immediately notice the new livery and the typical off-road solutions. However, it is the technical equipment that makes the Ducati DesertX Rally an off-road motorcycle, like the high front fender which guarantees use even in particularly difficult surface conditions, and the Kayaba suspension with increased travel with closed cartridge fork. Furthermore, there are new central spoked wheels, designed to be able to push the bike on any terrain.

Also the cycling, obviously, it is designed for off-road, starting from the suspension characterized by the same technologies used on cross and professional enduro motorbikes. At the front end, the DesertX Rally is equipped with new aluminum plates, while the rear end is made up of an aluminum swingarm with a different attachment point compared to the Standard DesertX. Finally, the motorbike is equipped with wheels featuring specific sizes for offroad.

The engine

The DesertX Rally is equipped with the 11 cm³ Ducati Testastretta 937° twin-cylinder with desmodromic distribution. There maximum power is 110 HP at 9.250 rpm and maximum torque of 92 Nm at 6.500 rpm. This engine, characterized by a smooth and manageable output to tackle any route, has been optimized for off-road thanks to a dedicated ratio and specific strategies and calibrations of the electronic systems.
