The motorcycle

The characterizing design of the Ducati DesertX, defined by the Ducati Style Centre, is defined by white and dark elements with red details which further liven up the vision. Connotative is the same single volume, which includes a tank of over 21 liters and side protections.
The full LED front light signature is defined by a double circular headlight with bi-function polyellipsoidal modules and Daytime Running Light (DRL). The bike features a steel trellis frame with long-travel suspension. In the front area there is an adjustable upside-down Kayaba fork with a diameter of 46 mm with a travel of 230 mm, while in the rear area there is an aluminum swingarm with a mono-shock absorber, again Kayaba, adjustable in compression, rebound and preload. The travel of the rear wheel is 220 mm. The ground clearance value reaches 250 mm and the dry weight is 202 kg.
The fit area appears slim with merged surfaces, also considering a supported position and a padded saddle placed 875 mm from the ground. The triangulation favors standing riding, also taking into account comfort when driving on the road.
The example can be customized by adopting Ducati Performance accessories including a rally saddle, aluminum transport solutions and an additional 8-litre tank to be positioned in the rear area. Among the accessories, a lowered saddle is offered, but a lowered suspension accessory kit can also be adopted.
The braking system with ABS Cornering function consists of a double 320 mm front disc with aluminum flanges and Brembo M50 monobloc radial calipers with four 30 mm pistons, as well as an axial master cylinder with adjustable levers. A Brembo solution also at the rear, a 265 mm diameter disc combined with a double-piston floating caliper.
In front there is a wheel of 21 inches and behind another of 18 inches which fit the 90/90-21 and 150/70 R18 Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires as original equipment.
They are reported you are Riding Mode, choosing between Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet and specific settings for the Enduro Riding Mode and a new Rally Riding Mode with full power and attenuated electronic controls.
