Ducati: an agreement to enhance the historical heritage of the brand [PHOTO]

“Interventions for the description and digitization of archival heritage” brand Borgo Panigale are an integral part of an agreement signed between Ducati Foundation e Institute of Cultural Heritage (IBC) of Emilia Romagna region, dedicated to enhancing the cultural capital of the historic builder.

The initiative

La Ducati Foundation is the body responsible for non-profit activities linked to the reality of Borgo Panigale, promoting educational, cultural and social activities, as well as enhancing initiatives dedicated to corporate heritage and road safety.
The agreement with theCultural Heritage Institute, which has internal expertise specialized in the archival sector, allows the Ducati Foundation to be able to benefit from an information system IBC Archives for digital cataloging e “the online publication of research tools”, as reported. The "service" will allow Ducati Foundation to provide a detailed and cognitive analysis “of existing materials and to organize the historical archive and conservation and dissemination services of the company's historical and technical heritage.” An updatable cataloging and computerization, enriched by “digital reproductions of documents” and links directed to “fonds, collections and further historical/informative materials”, functional to make this cognitive process more accurate.
This initiative will allow access and vision to various scholars and enthusiasts of the “Ducati historical documentary and technical heritage of the company” starting from the origins, that is, from far away 1926.
