Ducati: agreement with Volkswagen Group Argentina for the CKD assembly of motorcycles

Announced by Ducati an agreement with Volkswagen Group Argentina for assembly in ckd of Ducati examples to be offered on the local market. Production will begin later this year at Industrial Center of Córdoba.

The news

The investment makes this VW plant the third largest production factory in the world outside Italy for Ducati. There are currently seven authorized Ducati dealers in Argentina who market the entire range of Ducati and Scrambler® models. Each point of sale offers an integrated assistance service and a showroom, with an exclusive space for the "Land of Joy" and Scrambler® creations.

The first example to take shape in the Córdoba Industrial Center will be Scrambler® Icon. A model appreciated in the Argentine market, since its official presentation in 2016.
The commercial collaboration between Ducati and Volkswagen Group Argentina began in 2013, following the acquisition of the Italian motorcycle manufacturer by Audi AG in 2012. Ducati's level of recognition in Argentina in the performance motorcycle segment is high with interesting results in terms of market positioning, as recalled on the occasion.
