Ducati 1299 Panigale – For many it is Ducati's flagship model, especially now that the model has been updated for the new 2015 launch, we are talking about the Ducati 1299 Panigale, one of the protagonists of the centenary edition of the EICMA, which opens its doors today also doors to the public.

The Ducati 1299 Panigale is available in three models, base, R and S, all on display at the stand of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer. With a peak power equal to 205 horses the Panigale 1299 immediately places itself at the top of its category. All three models decided to review the geometry of the frame with the steering angle set at 24°, while the fork pivot is 4 mm lower, all in the name of more precise steering, a feature much criticized in the 1199 model. For the Ducati 1299 Panigale and Ducati 1299 Panigale S the engine at high speeds Supersquare gets an increase in displacement a 1,285 cc, thanks to a larger diameter, 116 millimeters, while the Ducati 1299 Panigale R will remain with the original 1,198 cc, in order to comply with the World Superbike regulations.

The Panigale R will also not get the electronic suspension found on the Panigale S, in order to keep its weight at 184kg dry, while the other models will tip the scales towards 190kg, but it will still have the Ducati data acquisition system with GPS. The 1299 Panigale S is equipped with the Öhlins Smart EC suspension package with event-based control (semi-active electronic suspension), while the 1299 Panigale R is equipped with mechanical Öhlins suspension. The entire 1299 Panigale/Panigale R family is equipped with Brembo M50 monobloc calipers. The dual Brembo Monobloc calipers each have four 30 mm diameter pistons working on 330 mm diameter discs. The 1299 R also has a lithium-ion battery and comes with one full Akropovič titanium exhaust.
