Ducati 1199 Panigale, you are the most beautiful

The most beautiful is Italian. The Ducati 1199 Panigale is the most desired motorcycle at EICMA 2011, the traditional international motorcycle fair. It was crowned by the visitors of the event themselves. Almost 14 thousand took part in the competition organized by Motociclismo magazine, 10% more than last year. Each of them was given a postcard to fill out and return at the end of the visit with an indication of their preference. Over half of those present (53%) indicated the Emilian red as the "most beautiful bike in the show".

President Giampiero Paoli's company has developed this new effort in three versions 1199 Panigale, 1199 Panigale S and 1199 Panigale S Tricolore. The latter, in particular, was consecrated on the altar of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy. The figures are thrilling: “Superquadro” L-twin engine from 195 HP for 164 kg of dry weight on a carbon monocoque frame. In addition to the three travel modes that can be selected with the "Riding Mode", the two-wheeler is equipped with six cutting-edge technologies in the field of racing electronics: the latest generation sports ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Electronic Suspension, the Ducati Quick-Shift, the new sports-derived Engine Brake Control (EBC) and Ride-by-Wire. Despite the economic uncertainty of recent months, the company explains, the Ducati world continues in its "phase of growth and improvement", both in terms of "market shares" and "production and sales volumes".

The motorbike will be available for purchase starting from the first months of next year. The basic version costs 19.190 euros, the more exclusive one costs 28 thousand euros. In the ranking drawn up by Motoclista, theMV Agusta with 15% of the votes. The less noble step of the podium is occupied by Husqvarna with 3% of the votes. Awards ceremony aside, in the presence, among others, of the Ducati Style Center designer Gianandrea Fabbro, there was time to draw the winner among the participants in the initiative.
