Doctor: in Italy travel almost tripled compared to the same period in 2021

Dott, operator of sharing micro-mobility, a marked increase inuse of e-bikes and electric scooters with the arrival of the beautiful season. Total trips grew by 73% in Europe between the first and second quarters of the current year, therefore by 192% in comparison with June 2021.

Environmental protection and social impact are key aspects of Dott's every decision and the operator aims to reuse and recycle 100% of vehicles and components, extending the life cycle of vehicles beyond five years. Among the next objectives are the total sustainability of the fleet dedicated to logistics and the use of 100% renewable energy to recharge vehicles in the various areas where it operates.
The aforementioned growth of the service also concerns the activity in Italy, recording 53% more rentals from April to June compared to the previous three months of the year, almost triple (+278%) more trips compared to the same period in 2021, with an average distance traveled of 2 kilometers, as indicated. Dott's new bicycles, introduced at the end of 2021, are also experiencing greater popularity, as reported again on the occasion. Since the beginning of the year, trips on e-bikes have increased by 180% in Europe and 146% in Italy, given an average distance of 2,6 km per ride.
Furthermore, in the second quarter the number of new members in Italy almost doubled (+85%) compared to the first three months of the year, again taking the data.
During 2022, Dott expanded the service into several markets. Good results in use have also been reported from the cities of Stockholm and Tel Aviv, recently the operator in Grenoble won the tender as the sole operator for the inclusion of e-bikes and scooters.
