Relaunch Decree, Confindustria ANCMA: "Without incentives for unsold Euro 4, the 2020 market will experience a profound crisis"

In view of a new meeting of the Council of Ministers on the so-called “relaunch decree”, Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Cycle Motorcycle Accessories) reiterates the request of “forms of incentives for the purchase of EURO 4 motorcycles, mopeds and scooters”. A message linked to the difficulties of the sales network and the recent lockdown, in an important period for the sector.

The request

In the press release issued today, it is underlined that: “Without incentives for unsold EURO 4 vehicles, the 2020 market will experience a deep crisis and will end with a worrying forecast between –30 and –40%." An alarming scenario, once again drawing the Government's attention for support that will revive demand, also considering the potential role of two-wheeled vehicles in this new phase, ensuring compliance with social distancing during the necessary journeys. A campaign was also recently launched “Use two wheels”, highlighting how two-wheeled vehicles equipped with engines, including electric ones or without, for example, can represent a valid alternative for getting around the city.
The note also highlights the specification “seasonality” of the two-wheeled vehicle market and, keeping this aspect in mind, the demand for "an urgent intervention to support a sector which offers employment to over 40 thousand people and which in 2019 contributed with tax revenue of 5,5 billion euros", remember.
