Davide Biga ready to go solo around the world on the Yamaha Super Ténéré 1200

The great adventure of the young Piedmontese starts on Sunday 15 May from the town of Mondovì, in the province of Cuneo David Biga, a super passionate motorcyclist and lover of great motorbike trips, who will lead the off-road adventure next year Yamaha Super Ténéré on the roads of the world, even the most arduous ones, thus enhancing the tireless tourer qualities of the Iwata twin-cylinder.

Biga, a thirty-five-year-old tiler with a passion for motorized two-wheelers, in 2010 was the very lucky Italian selected by Yamaha Motor Europe as an exceptional tester of "Super Ténéré Ride For Life”, an event during which he had the incredible opportunity to be part of the group of the first everyday motorcyclists in the world to be able to test the new XT1200Z Super Tenere. It was precisely the unforgettable experience that took him on a motorbike from Europe to the Moroccan desert, which convinced Biga to become one of the owners of the new Super Ténéré 1200 and to select the off-road adventure branded three tuning forks as the ideal means to try to pursue one of his lifelong dreams: traveling alone around the world on a motorbike.

From the departure in his Mondovì (CN) scheduled for Sunday 15 May at 15.00 pm from Piazza Monteregale to the plateau, Biga will have Hamburg, Germany as its inaugural destination, and then head towards the inevitable first stop, the famous North Cape, but not he will certainly stop there... Davide will then reach Moscow and then further along the Trans-Siberian road to Vladivostok. Biga will subsequently embark towards Japan and from there towards Alaska. “The traveler on two wheels” will travel the Americas from north to south until reaching Patagonia. From Buenos Aires, by ship, he will reach South Africa and from there, northwards crossing all of Black Africa up to the Maghreb, to return to revisit the familiar panorama of the Mediterranean Sea which will lead him home again in 2012.
