Where Cagiva set up the team's vehicles Lucky explorer protagonists at the historic Paris-Dakar and twice at the top in the famous competition last year 15nd June the next edition of the Dakar Rally expected in Saudi Arabia. Among those present were 300 people including journalists, drivers and teams, who spoke on the occasion of a day-long event coordinated by the director of the Dakar, David Castera.

The presentation

Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta Motor SpA, hosted and recalled the stages of the company's glorious history in competition and how this legacy represents an important aspect from a prospective perspective.
On the occasion MV Agusta he exposed i Lucky Explorer prototypes introduced at the last edition of EICMA, the specimens 5.5 , 9.5 carefully admired by the public and professionals and with numerous pre-orders. Together with these, the historic Cagiva Elefant Lucky Explorer motorcycles, triumphant with Edi Orioli and built inside the Schiranna factory by Roberto Azzalin, Luciano Pin and the staff of the time, who were also present.

Filippo Bassoli, marketing director, also revealed that the "Lucky Explorer" concept will still return to the Dakar in a mode that will be announced shortly, as reported.
Also present at the event were the competitor manager Charles Cuypers and the Dakar correspondent in Italy Edo Mossi.
On the large external square, in a setting enriched by Lake Varese and the pre-Alps in the background, around twenty teams, trucks, off-road vehicles of all kinds, cars, motorbikes and side by sides have been present since the morning. In the afternoon there was the drivers' press conference, while at sunset, on the lawn near the lake, there was the official presentation of the Dakar 2023 with the projection of exciting films made by a 6-wheel drive assistance truck. At the end of the day, a dinner organized by the lake.
