The new Manis back protector has been officially presented by Dainese. For some time now, we have been wondering whether these protections can really be useful, and therefore make driving more comfortable and protected, or whether, vice versa, they cannot actually constitute a real obstacle to the movement and freedom of the driver. Among the peculiarities of this new back protector there is certainly the adaptability of the shapes: Dainese ensures that the Manis is able to lengthen, shorten, flex and bend, based on each movement of the driver, without creating any oppression or discomfort.

During the management of any type of movement, the special plates of Manis tissue would be able to act as an "absorption bridge" so as to increase the dissipation area of the energy created and prevent it from placing all the work on the motorcyclist's spine. These plates are interconnected to each other via a central fulcrum which should be able to ensure their sliding on the back. From the special silicone side joints they would guarantee, to crown the structure, integrity and resistance to the entire protection.

The heart of the entire Manis system, in the brand's plans, should however be represented by theback protector padding. This special framework connects three different textures: a special shock absorbing material Crash absorb, a layer in expanded polyethylene and a third component totally perforated to guarantee the correct evacuation of body heat. With the launch of this multifaceted adaptable protection, Dainese aims to redefine the standards of use of these accessories for motorcycle riding. Were they far-sighted? Posterity will judge.
