The Art Director, Renato Montagner, explains the guideline that led to the birth of the new brand: "The common thread of Settantadue lies in the way of interpreting the origins and 45 years of Dainese experience, always riding on innovation"

Dainese Seventy-two – After the success of 2017, Dainese go back to Motor Bike Expo and presents Dainese Seventy-two, the new brand of the Group. Dainese Settantadue brings to light the history of motorcycle clothing from the heroic years, in the interpretation of Contemporary Heritage, offering garments that combine elegance and technical solutions capable of satisfying modern safety needs.

The Art Director, Renato Montagner, explains the guideline that led to the birth of the new brand: “The common thread of Settantadue lies in the way of interpreting the origins and 45 years of Dainese experience, always in the saddle of innovation. The artisanal processing of the leather, the attention to details recreated tailor-made for each garment, the integration of Pro-Armor protections without distorting shapes and balances: more than a revisitation of garments from the past, a contamination. In the same way, history is not only made up of heroes, style does not belong only to champions. For this reason we were also inspired by the everyday motorcyclist, who finds his own form of expression in the motorbike and keeps the spirit of this passion alive. For example, models such as Toga and Chiodo were not associated with prominent figures in the past but have always represented a highly recognizable imagery".

Three lines are proposed: Archetypes, Speed Leather e Demon Flower. All made with great attention to detail, they draw inspiration from the great styles of the past. A rchetypes updates cult products such as the nail, the classic leather jacket much loved by bikers, rockers and travelers in the 60s and 70s. Speed Leather brings to the attention of the general public jackets such as the Toga72 and Rapida72, which openly refer to the racing suits that Dainese produced at the beginning of its journey. The Demon Flower line presents Patina72, made unique by the lining created for Dainese Settantadue by the New York artist Othelo Gervacio and embellished with a manual treatment of the drum-dyed leather.
