Midland presented the Dash Cam conceived and designed for motorcyclists, which records the road in real time and will arrive on the market in April.

What is a Dash Cam? Basically these are dashboard cameras, often used on cars in many countries. They are similar to Action cameras in shape and size, but the video quality is usually lower. They are not cameras for recording trips or holidays, but are used to leave a video trail of the driving. Until now these cameras had been designed exclusively for cars, while motorcyclists have often resorted to Action cams. Thanks to Midland, however, the "dashboard camera" for motorcycles arrives. Assembly is simple, thanks to the support supplied. The power supply is via battery, two hours of autonomy, or via connection from the key lock, recommended by the manufacturer. By powering it via the cable supplied, recording starts as soon as the engine is turned on and turns off in the same way.

Bike Guardian is equipped with a wide field optic (120°) and the recording is carried out in loop with full HD 1080 or 720 resolution. This allows the files to be automatically overwritten once the space on the microSD chosen by the user has run out (up to 64 GB). This way you will not lose any frames when you are involved in an accident, incur an infringement, have to respond to complaints, etc. A "video" that helps shed light on what happened could also be accepted among the "atypical evidence" (and evaluated by the judge based - it is said - on his "prudent appreciation").

The body is waterproof, the resolution is Full HD 1080p or HD 720p, there is also the possibility of using it as an Action Cam with manual rec / stop. The dimensions are: 8,5 mm x Ø3 cm. The retail price is 129 euros.
