Custom, timeless attraction

From the timeless charm ofHarley-Davidson to the garage fantasy. The custom world continues to receive appreciation at every latitude. 2012 will be the year of Yamaha need headbanger. The first has already made its project known VMAX Hyper Modified: three customizers (Marcus Walz, Ludovic Lazareth and Roland Sands) made their creativity available on the 4 cc V1700 engine. The second wants to play a leading role with the new models Summertime e Woodstock Boogies. In short, custom is alive and vital.

It is therefore not surprising that the organizers of EICMA Custom are the same ones who set up the entire event. In the Milanese pavilions there was a veritable shower of prizes and recognitions. Best of Show was awarded to the Union sidecar by Abnormal Cycles which won a VMAX offered by Yamaha Italia. The Chopper Category saw the triumph of Wild Spirit of Boccin Custom Cycles, the HD Modified category was won by 199R of Asso Special Bike, the Café Racer Category was won by Too Much of TpR. All three took home a 2.500 euro voucher offered by Custom Chrome Europe.

The Special Journalist Jury Prize was awarded to Scrambler Tribute by Nero Opaco Motociclette (tool trolley offered by Bike-Lift; the Special Extra-sector Jury Prize was awarded to Union by Abnormal Cycles. The journalist jury was made up of Giuseppe Roncen (president) of LowRide , Aldo Benardelli of Motociclismo, Ferdinando Restelli of InSella, Paolo Sormani of Riders, Maurizio Tanca of Moto.it, Roberto Brodolini of Special Cafe, Giorgio Scialino of InMoto, Fabrice Roux of Freeway, Horst Roesler, freelance, Daniel Gil-Delgado of Xtreme Bikes and Cafe Racers, Minoru Uemura of Vibes, John Campbell of Canadian Biker, Special Jury: Luciano Andreoli, Italy, Michael Lichter and Jeff Decker. Finally, the non-sector jury saw the presence of Elio Fiorucci, stylist, Michela Gattermayer, journalist of fashion, Andrea “Zak” Zaccone, photographer.
