To bring necessary goods and medicines, the Italian Red Cross can also count on eBike. Delivered from FIVE group (Fabbrica Italiana Veicoli Elettrici) the first pedal-assisted bicycles commissioned by the volunteer organization as part of the “Il tempo della Gentilezza” project, supporting people who need it during the pandemic period.

A first batch of bicycles has already reached the company's operational headquarters CRI in Legnano (MI), Settimo Torinese (TO), Rome and Salerno.

Made under the Italwin brand, in the group's modern Bolognese plant powered by a double photovoltaic system, the new eBike is preferably used for Italian Red Cross was born on Cloud Lite, a reference example of the Urban segment. Among the notable technical aspects: the exclusive white livery of the aluminum frame with low step-through, LED lights, seven-speed Shimano gearbox, 500 wh FIVE battery with Samsung cells and 26-inch wheels. The project connected to the CRI starts from the offer of assistance throughout the national territory to the most vulnerable people, where the Committees have activated services that interest elderly or immunosuppressed people, for example the home delivery of shopping, medicines or basic goods need. Support is now also possible by using an ecological vehicle Made in Italy, allowing thousands of volunteers from the Italian Red Cross to reach those in difficulty in multiple places.
