Continental, five new sizes for the ContiRoad Sport Touring motorcycle tire

The range of the Sport Touring tyre di Continental ContiRoad with the addition of five new measures which broaden its range of action, making it now also available for motorcycles with a displacement of up to 300 cc.

The five new sizes of Continental's motorcycle tyres, which will be marketed starting from the second quarter of 2024, include two 17-inch front ones in sizes 100/80 and 110/70 and three rear ones, also 17 inches, in sizes 130/70, 140/70 and 150/60.

For motorcycles up to 300 cc, a growing segment

With the five new entry-level sizes, Continental responds to the needs of motorcyclists who travel on the saddle motorcycle with a displacement between 125 and 300 cc. This is a growing segment, with bikes of these displacements becoming increasingly popular for their cost, efficiency and adaptability, increasing their share in the major markets of Europe, Asia, North and South America. For example, in Germany the 250 to 499 cc engine class has tripled its market share over the last ten years, from 4,7% to 14%. 

Sportiness and practicality for everyday driving

The Continental ContiRoad is a diagonal tire that balances performance in sporty use with driving pleasure in everyday use and in all weather conditions. Characterized by optimized silica blend to ensure high grip even in the wet, the ContiRoad has a tread pattern inspired by those of larger radial tires. 

Furthermore, more material in the areas of greatest wear of the profile promises greater durability and reduces the cost per kilometer of the tyre. The ContiRoad carcass and profile are designed to ensure engaging dynamic behavior and, at the same time, high stability at higher speeds, even at full load. The rubber's rapid ability to reach temperature contributes to all this.
