An appeal was reported by theNational Union of Driving Schools and Automotive Consulting Studies (UNASCA) to Transportation Commission to implement a change in theart.122 paragraph 5 of the law of reform which concerns the Highway Code. Essentially the introduction of a minimum training requirement to obtain different categories of license, considering not only the traditional B but also those that allow you to drive two-wheeled vehicles.

The appeal

A request, therefore, which then invites the same Ministry of Transport to define the relevant criteria. Translating: we ask for the introduction of a minimum number of driving lessons within the course, in order to then obtain a certain document. An open letter that highlights, considering what the agency reported HANDLE taking up the open letter ofUNASCA a “current discrepancy in the legislation”. An aspect that could consequently lead to potential sanctions, unlike an intervention that would establish minimum practical criteria for the benefit of common security.
As indicated on the occasion by the national secretary of UNASCA, Emilio Patella, always considering what was reported by ANSA, this intervention is "necessary" highlighting the very concept of "road safety", just mentioned. Unfortunately, there is no shortage of news of serious road accidents, even recent ones. But the directive is also taken into consideration UE 2006 / 126 relating to AM license and minimum driving test requirements, which indicates the obligation to carry out driving tests on different types of stretches in light of the different categories of licences. Furthermore, regarding the introduction of a minimum number of driving lessons, the indication of the Council of State is also cited, considering this solution as “optimal”, considering the topic.
