Capit warms the winter of motorbike lovers [INTERVIEW]
The Italian company brought its new line of electric blankets, gloves and insulated socks to EICMA 2018
Capit is the Italian company famous throughout the world for... heat. Since its foundation, in fact, it has specialized in the creation of tyrewarmers that we are used to seeing in competitions, but now the company has broadened its horizons, also creating a series of accessories for the everyday motorcyclist. We talked about it with the founder, Stefano Cappelletti"Today we boast around 80 distributors all over the world and we can say that we are the only made in Italy brand linked to tyrewarmers. We started by creating products for teams, then for hobby riders, but now the needs of users have led us to invent products that are also attractive at price levels, such as the Division Pro tyrewarmer, which warns you 10 minutes after turning it on that you are the ideal temperature has been reached. The proposed price is 500 euros for the couple, unthinkable until a few years ago".
In addition to your famous vest from the WarmMe series, you have also improved the glove.
“We know a lot about temperatures and for us this is a game. We wanted to develop a product for every day with our technology. We have been on the market for two years and now we have perfected ourselves, covering the protections with fabric, inserting the touch screen on the index finger and thumb, we have revised the manufacturing of the windshield wiper, present on both the right and left glove, improved the finishing of the logos, improving the water-repellent fabric and in general creating an even more insulating glove. The battery is the same as the vest, the heat can be adjusted to three temperature levels, and it is available with or without protections. The price is around 200 euros."
And then there are the socks.
“The novelty this year is that now the temperature can be managed, also in this case, on three levels thanks to a new battery with a very attractive carbon look. The cable is longer to allow the battery to be positioned outside the boot. In general the sock is more robust and has better performance. All this while remaining in a price range of around 100 euros."
