Italian FMI Aprilia Sport Production Championship: a new season begins in Magione [PHOTO]

The tracing of Magione, in the province of Perugia, is the scene of the first challenge in the second edition of Italian FMI Aprilia Sport Production Championship, the single-brand series that projects young talents onto the track starting from the start from the age of 11.

A new challenge

Young pilots can take their first steps in this world observed by federal pilots and technicians, given the direct participation of aprilia-racing e IMF. Professionals like "Coach", in each stage they will hold lessons regarding various aspects. In 2020, well-known names such as Andrea Iannone, Lorenzo Savadori, Matteo Baiocco and Tommaso Marcon played this role; an aspect that makes the Italian FMI Aprilia Sport Production Championship even more interesting. Furthermore, the Italian FMI Aprilia Sport Production Champion will be part of a sporting growth and valorisation project managed by Aprilia Racing.
The Italian FMI Aprilia Sport Production Championship is present in the program of the Italian Speed ​​Championship - CIV Junior and five events are scheduled with two races in each stage, preceded by as many free practice sessions and qualifying sessions. They are expected in Magione over the weekend 30 riders. After the Umbrian stage there will be other appointments in Modena in the days 8 9-May, Monitor on the weekend of 19 20-June, back to Modena for the weekend of 10-11 July and then to Adria in the other summer stage of 21-22 August.

The series

After the previous edition, the championship is renewed and includes two categories: SP e SP2. In addition to Aprilia RS 250SP aimed at young people of all ages between 11 and 14 years old and who are approaching high-wheel competitions for the first time, the new and more performing one is introduced RS 250 SP2 for those pilots who have aaged 13 years and above e more experience. The categories will run together and there will be separate rankings.
Developed by aprilia-racing and created by the technical partner Ohvale, the Aprilia RS 250 SP and SP2 are linked to the knowledge and technology of the Noale Racing Department and equipped with high-end racing components, considering Öhlins suspensions, Brembo brakes, SC Project exhaust for an optimal weight/power ratio. The bikes are equipped with 17-inch Marchesini rims, Dunlop tires and both have an engine 4 cc 250-stroke single-cylinder. The power of the version SP amounts to 29 horses, while in light of a different preparation the maximum power of SP2 raggiunge 35 horses.
Always talking about new talents, then, this season the Aprilia Racing RS 660 Trophy, organized by BK Corse and included within the Italian Speed ​​Championship (CIV).
