Caberg Duke X: a new flip-up helmet presented

While considering some aspects from an aesthetic and technical point of view that already characterize the Duke models, given the requirements set by the new one ECE 22.06 P/J approval, a new opening system for the chin guard is highlighted compared to the example Duke II. Furthermore, the new helmet benefits from the construction experience of the Bergamo company which holds the record of having developed and produced the first helmet in Italy that can be opened back in 1992, the "292 unlimited" model.

In light of the profound experience in the development of helmets, Caberg is aware of the importance of lightness, given that there are motorcyclists who wear the helmet for several hours at a time and are looking for a model that reduces the level of fatigue of the cervical muscles, promoting comfort driving and safety. The Duke X model weighs 1550 gr. approx., according to the information, with a variation of +/- 50 g depending on the size.

Given the double approval P / J, it is possible to ride either by using the helmet in its entirety or by having the chin guard raised with a compact selector on the left which locks the chin guard in the maximum open position, preventing accidental closure.

The exclusive system is also interesting Double Visor Tech. The double visor allows for greater visibility, supporting comfort and safety thanks to a main visor combined with a second sun visor that can be used or not, depending on the light conditions, without resorting to the use of sunglasses or different visors. The DVT system (Double Visor Tech) also allows you to ride with the chin guard and related external visor raised, but keeping the sun visor lowered, so as to protect your eyes anyway. The sun visor is resistant to scratches, while the external and transparent one, in addition to being resistant to these, benefits from a double Pinlock lens to avoid fogging.

The predisposition to welcome the new system is then underlined Caberg Pro Speak EVO which allows you to interact with the phone and the passenger, as well as providing a connection with a GPS or an MP3 file player.
