BT-02 THRUXMAN by Blacktrack Motors
With a Triumph Thruxton engine as its basis, the BT-02 is a tribute to British motorcycling passion and culture.
The name THRUXMAN it is a tribute to the classic naming conventions of café racers. It was a common British practice to own one brand's engine and fit it to another brand's chassis. Norton and Vincent they becameNorvin‘, Norton and Harley Davidson they becameNorley‘, Triumph and Norton they becameTriton'.For the BT-02, while remaining in the historic tradition, instead of using the two brand names, they used the names of the two models used to create the “THRUXMAN".
Few motorcycles evoke as much nostalgia as the iconic Norton Manx. Launched in 1947, it found victory time after time on the Isle of Man – and inspired a whole generation of café racers.
" Norton Manx it involves café racer design,” he says Sacha Lakic, founder of Blacktrack. “Light, brave, beautiful, simple, pure and distinguishable, with a unique sound. My favorite version: the 1959 model! ”
A motorbike that combines classic style with modern fittings but pays particular attention to craftsmanship such as the aluminum tank and some parts of the frame which have been welded and handcrafted by Ludo Gaag, who combines a smooth leather strap on the almost raw metal. It's a classic combination that evokes the golden era of road racing and captures the hearts of fans of the style.
3 colors chosen for this motorbike... no we are not talking about 3 liveries but exactly 3 colors present in the entire motorbike, Silver for the visible parts, Black for the leather, engine, seat and instruments and a thin red thread that ties everything together with splendid finishes in the stitching, in the logo and in the electronic instruments.
