Valentino Rossi, nine-time world champion of the class MotoGP, confirm the agreement with Bridgestone Europe as a consultant for the development of motorcycle road tyres.

As in the previous agreement, Valentino and Bridgestone will work together to promote the passion and enthusiasm for two wheels to motorcyclists across Europe, realizing the Bridgestone concept "from track to road".

Collaboration is about Red as a professional rider, while his MotoGP team and other sponsors are not involved in the initiative.

“I have worked with Bridgestone in MotoGP for many years and have always been impressed by their professionalism and the quality of their products – the doctor declared –. Rinnovate This agreement gives me an interesting opportunity to contribute to the development of new Bridgestone motorcycle road tyres”.

In his role, Valentino will provide his assessments and impressions on the performance of Bridgestone motorcycle tyres, in particular for hyper-sport, racing and sport touring products. Bridgestone will exploit rider input to develop tires for road use capable of guaranteeing maximum levels of performance and safety.

“Valentino Rossi is a great ambassador for our company - he added Franco Annunziato, CEO and President of Bridgestone Europe - With the extension of our agreement, we have secured the advice and recommendations from one of the greatest motorcycle riders of all time, thus guaranteeing improvements to the new Battlax tires that are on the market."

Valentino Rossi is among the most brilliant riders of all time: world champion in the 125cc, 250cc and 500cc classes, six-time world champion in MotoGP. The driver from Tavullia also holds the record of 79 races won.

Bridgestone entered MotoGP in 2002 and riders wearing Bridgestone tires reached the podium as early as the second season, before winning twice in 2004. After constantly increasing the number of riders who chose Bridgestone, in 2007 the first world title was won thanks also to the Japanese company, and then reconfirmed in 2008 with Valentino Rossi and the Fiat Yamaha Team. In 2009 Bridgestone then became the sole supplier of the MotoGP championship.

Last September it celebrated 100 victories during the San Marino and Rimini Grand Prix in Misano with a special event organized at the circuit: it was an opportunity to thank fans from all over the world for the support shown over the years.
