Bridgestone – Bridgestone strengthens its partnership with Saroléa, participating in the third edition of the TT Zero on the Isle of Man on 8 June. In the wake of the two promising performances of the previous editions (4th place in 2014 and 5th in 2015), the Belgian company producing fully electric motorcycles is aiming for the podium this year with two world-famous riders. Dean Harrison, from Bradford, and Northern Irishman Lee Johnston will ride the same bike, the SP7, but in a different colour.

The SP7 boasts improvements in aerodynamics, a modified engine and a top speed of 320 km/h. Together with Bridgestone Battlax racing tyres, it will prove once again that green does not mean slow. To optimize performance, Bridgestone invited Saroléa to test the new SP7 on the European Proving Ground circuit near Rome. The highly cutting-edge facility was the ideal place to bring the SP7 to its full potential and prepare it for the TT Zero. "This partnership gives Bridgestone an excellent opportunity to demonstrate that we give our all to the quality of our products. By introducing the standard Battlax racing tires to the TT Zero we want to demonstrate that we can guarantee all riders the best possible performance”, explained Nico Thuy, Head of Motorcycle department Bridgestone Europe.

Bridgestone began its partnership with Saroléa in 2014, providing the Belgian company with technical support and expertise in the field of tires for track tests and competitions. The partnership derives from Bridgestone's commitment to sustainable mobility, an expression of its environmental vision, which focuses on protecting the environment and resources and reducing CO2 emissions.
