Awarded by CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) the company Brembo for leadership in corporate sustainability, earning a place in the prestigious “A List” drawn up by the global non-profit organization that supports companies in collecting and managing information on climate change, as reported.

CDP employs a detailed and independent methodology for ratings, assigning a score from A to D based on “complete disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks and demonstration of best practices associated with environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful goals”.
Sustainability is an integral aspect of Brembo with increasingly greater efforts on this front over the years. In the 2018 Brembo has chosen to sign the UN Agenda 2030 and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) with projects to reduce water and plastic consumption, increasing energy efficiency and the use of energy produced from renewable sources. Brembo plants around the world are ISO 14001 certified. In 2019, CO11 emissions were reduced by almost 2% compared to the previous year, increasing energy supply from renewable sources. Currently 30% of the total, as reported. It is also involving almost 11.000 employees to promote actions in favor of sustainability through initiatives to support the SDGs and over 3.650 hours of training on environmental management, still reporting what has been communicated.
The specialist in the development of braking systems is among the few international companies to have obtained one double "A". In total, over 5.800 companies achieved a score based on the data presented through CDP questionnaires in 2020.
For CDP, Brembo has emerged as a leading global company through proven, significant and transparent action towards climate change and the risks linked to the management of water resources.
This year, more than 515 investors, with more than $106 trillion in assets, and 150 large purchasing organizations, with spending capacity of $4 trillion, have asked companies to disclose data on environmental impacts, risks and opportunities through the CDP platform. Over 9.600 responded, according to the information.
