Bosch, Integrated Connectivity Cluster: an integrated split screen for motorcycles

The connection

According to a Bosch survey, around 90% of motorcyclists use their smartphones to prepare or check routes during the trip. A third of them also risk their own safety by consulting their device while driving. Bosch created mySPIN for smartphone integration, thus keeping security and interaction needs in mind.
Proposed in the Powersports segment since 2018 on BRP vehicles, which include for example the so-called all-terrain vehicles or jet skis, mySPIN will be integrated into motorcycles for the first time. Ducati will also include it with the new one da 6,5 inches from Bosch without the split screen option and since 2021 also Kawasaki will adopt this solution, as reported.
