BMW Stunt G 310, the uncompromising interpretation of an aggressive and agile motorbike [PHOTO]

It debuted in Brazil

BMW Stunt G 310 – BMW Motorrad presented its new concept, the Stunt G 310, and did so during the Salao Duas Rodas motorcycle show in São Paulo, Brazil, the largest trade fair event in South America.

Described as a “uncompromising interpretation of an aggressive and agile motorcycleand", the new BMW Stunt G 310 was developed in collaboration with the four-time world and European stunt riding champion Chris Pfeiffer and is characterized by an extremely compact design, thanks to a newly developed single-cylinder engine. BMW declined to say how powerful the new powertrain is. The peculiarity, however, is the cylinder inclined towards the rear and the head which is rotated 180 degrees, which thus allows for optimal positioning of the engine and a short wheelbase which makes the two-wheeler very agile. The front part has, however, been lowered, while the raised tail section allows for agile changes of direction and dynamic driving. Additionally, the exhaust silencer was placed upright under the seat between the engine and the shock absorber. In this way, it is optimally protected and does not limit the pilot's freedom in his "extreme" movements. Once started, the sound of the BMW Stunt G 310 will still, and certainly, attract attention.

The new BMW Stunt G 310 is characterized from the side by a powerful design and the three-dimensionality of the surfaces. The precise lines and expressive interplay of contours create a sense of movement and speed even when the bike is stationary. All lines seem to generate a sense of movement towards the front wheel and underline the playful ease of handling the new BMW Stunt G 310. At the same time, the surfaces of the new Teutonic motorcycle create a compact and distinctive silhouette, underlined by the favorable centering of the masses around the engine block. Looking at it from the front, the Stunt G 310 appears slim, once again drawing attention to its high level of agility. The new BMW Stunt G 310 stands out above all for its multicolored bodywork, a non-slip seat and a red crash bar that wraps around the engine. The new model of the German brand also features a new "stunt" tail, which is milled from solid aluminum and is equipped with a central opening that allows the pilot to stand while performing his evolutions. Other features include a lockable throttle, an additional brake lever and a high-performance rear brake.

Returning to the color of the new BMW Stunt G 310, the concept is characterized by the classic white shade of BMW Motorsport, as the base colour, to which red and blue are added, in combination with the national colors of the Brazilian flag, thus giving an interpretation more modern. The spectacular neon green and yellow color, together with the material design, is sure to attract attention. The bright neon colors extend along the entire body thus emphasizing the dynamic lines and surfaces of the motorcycle. The core of the motorbike and the transmission, however, present darker colors, thus moving the aesthetic center of gravity even further downwards. “The BMW Concept Stunt G 310 is a real eye-catcher. Everything about this concept seems to have been created to drive it and to defy the laws of gravity." he has declared Edgar Heinrich, head of design at BMW Motorrad.
