BMW R nineT Scrambler: the very particular style of the Scrambler models [LIVE PHOTOS]

BMW R nineT Scrambler – BMW Motorrad presents the new BMW R nineT Scrambler, a motorcycle that revives the era of the Scrambler models in a very special style. The BMW R nineT Scrambler is equipped with everything that distinguishes this type of motorcycle, is characterized by a unique spirit and was created for motorcycling enthusiasts who love purist design, reduced to the essential and non-conformist, combined with the technique and quality of a BMW.

The Boxer with a displacement of 1170 cm³ with air/oil cooling was fitted in the BMW R nineT Scrambler. The engine delivers 81 kW (110 HP) at 7.750 rpm and develops a maximum torque of 116 Nm at 6.000 rpm. Thanks to the new engine mapping and the fuel supply system with activated carbon filter, it meets Euro 4 emission standards. Dynamic Scrambler with a versatile character. The affinity with a classic Scrambler model is confirmed by the high-mounted exhaust system, with the two terminals arranged one above the other. The tubes were attached particularly close to the vehicle, thus further intensifying the already streamlined look. Chassis with traditional technique with 19-inch front wheel and numerous variations. Similarly to the Roadster R nineT, an important aspect that makes the high level of customization possible is the particular concept of the frame, which is made of double-spar steel developed specifically for the R nineT Scrambler and is thus able to integrate the Boxer engine as load-bearing element. The passenger frame is removable and allows two to travel in the R nineT Scrambler or, for an absolutely authentic image, alone.

The new Scrambler from BMW is equipped with forged alloy wheels. In typical Scrambler style, the front wheel is 19 inches with a 120/70-19 front tire and a 170/60-17 rear tire.
The high driving dynamics of the R nineT Scrambler are enhanced by a braking system equipped as standard with ABS, 4-piston brake calipers, stainless steel brake hoses and front brake discs with a diameter of 320 millimetres. At the rear, the 265 mm diameter single disc brake with floating caliper and 2 pistons ensures reliable deceleration. Special ergonomics for a relaxed Scrambler feeling. One of the main features of a Scrambler model is the upright, relaxed seating position. For this reason the ergonomic triangle, consisting of handlebars - seating surface - footrests, was defined from scratch. The new BMW R nineT Scrambler is offered in Monolith metallic matt paint. The classic purist character is enhanced by black lacquered components, such as the frame, arm, wheels, fork sliders and engine block.
