BMW R nineT: the renewed range for 2021 [PHOTO]

Refinements and new technical contents. Introduced by BMW Motorrad the renewed one R nineT overview composed of the specimens RnineT, R nineT Pure, R nineT Scrambler e R nineT Urban G / S.

Aesthetics and possible options

On the renewed ones R nineT models there are white headlights and directional indicators equipped with technology LED , a charging socket USB it's one instrument with circular dial newly designed with BMW logo and warning lights “invisible” if not illuminated, as indicated.
The visual and technological evolution of the new BMW R nineT examples is also linked to the colours, systems and options offered.
The standard and optional paint finishes stand out, especially the “GS 40 Years Edition” di R nineT Urban G / S proposed in a limited edition and distinguishable by the combination of black and yellow colors which recalls the R 100 GS on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of GS.
They are then reported Riding Modes Pro with additional modes “Dyna” for the R nineT and R nineT Pure e models “Dirt” connected to R nineT Scrambler and R nineT Urban G/S, available as single options. The same goes for systems such as DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) and engine drag torque control (MSR). Another option is the Comfort package which includes heated grips, cruise control and Riding Modes Pro, again taking up the information. The range of individual extra options also includes the optional silencer design and adaptive cornering light. We also remember the characterizing line “Option 719” with exclusive creations, opting between packages of milled parts or wheels of various types and, considering the range of Original BMW Motorrad Accessories, a rear modification with a short end and license plate support placed behind the wheel, therefore also a tracker-style end part.

Technology and Euro 5 boxer engine

The specimens of BMW R nineT they now understand a solution ABS-Pro in combination with DBC (Dynamic Brake Control), optimizing braking safety even with the bike leaning into a bend, as indicated. Among the technical aspects appears a new shock absorber with damping dependent on the excursion (wad extension) with a functional manual adjustment of the spring preload. Driving modes are also standard “Rain” e “Road”.
The heart of the new R nineT models is type boxer, on which we worked on technical and visual fine-tuning, developed considering the EU-5 approval. The maximum power is now 109 horses (80 kW) at 7.250 rpm, previously it was 110 horsepower (81 kW) at 7.750 rpm, however the maximum torque remains 116 Nm at 6.000 rpm.
The cylinder heads are new, favoring a more progressive transition from the external to the internal cooling fins, just as the throttle body components and cylinder head covers are also newly designed.
In the cylinder heads there is a new turbulence system that rotates the mixture to optimize combustion, evaluating a consistent and refined power and torque curve particularly in the range between 4.000 and 6.000 rpm, as reported.
