Also highlighted are several chrome parts of the Chrome design option, a high-quality galvanized coating that appears on handlebar clamps, mirrors, gear shift and foot brake levers, handlebar counterweights, handlebar fittings, engine crankcase covers , cylinder head covers, intake manifold gaskets, brake calipers and brake master cylinders. Also distinctive are the chrome-plated Akrapovič rear silencers with perforated tailpipe finishes in “propeller style”, a reference to the BMW logo.
The engine is coated in black, as is the rear axle drive and transmission housing. It is an Avus Black, a shade that refers to the famous high-speed track in Berlin, where BMW Motorrad was a protagonist in the past.
