“Spirit of Passion” di Kingston Custom it is a new creation, it represents a further interpretative inspiration of BMW R 18.

the work

Dirk Oehlerking puts his signature on this specimen. A work of customization and distinction according to Kingston Custom and, as reported by Oehlerking, the technology of the BMW R 18 remains confirmed like the chassis, although the transformation offers a new and suggestive image. A particular connotation, as seen for example previously with the creation signed by Bernhard Naumann, also known as "Blechmann".

Looking at the project “Spirit of Passion”, the characterizing element is the fairing. A body featuring a hand-crafted Kingston design that takes you to another era, given the setting Art Deco. He took up the paint and the original lines for this and the fin behind it, adding some details in Kingston style.

The handlebar and mudguard setup is also interesting and the modification of the Kingston Roadster style exhaust is worth mentioning. The saddle is then taken from the range of universal accessories, as indicated.

The LED front light cluster appears integrated into the fairing, while the directional indicators have been replaced with Kellermann solutions. The wheel suspensions and the fuel tank are original.

The R 18

The Bavarian cruiser recalls the historic one BMW R 5, considering the essential approach linked to consistent dynamism. It features a steel frame made up of a double cradle structure with welded joints between the steel tubes and cast or forged parts, which are combined with a telescopic fork with fork cover and a rear cantilever solution with incorporated axle, obtaining the effect of a rigid frame.
The engine is a boxer, air-cooled twin-cylinder 1.802 cc. A power of 91 horsepower (67 kW) is reported at 4.750 rpm and from 2.000 to 4.000 rpm over 150 Nm of torque.
