BMW R 12 nineT: a new example of classic style, character and customization [PHOTO]

In the year in which the “100 years of BMW Motorrad” the new one is presented BMW R 12 nineT, successor model to the R nineT introduced ten years ago.

Design and customization

A roadster characterized by a classic style, like the BMW R nineT from 2013, with several options for customizing according to your tastes. Further information on the model will be offered by BMW Motorrad in the second half of the year, as reported on the occasion. In an even more pronounced way than previously seen, this new one BMW R 12 nineT it represents a symbiosis between classic aesthetics, technological innovation and dynamic performance deriving from the boxer engine with which it is equipped, to which add the customization factor. An example of style with attention to detail, observing for example the redesigned front mudguard, the LED headlight with black frame and the instruments with round dials, according to a traditional style. Also interesting is the design of the LED rear light cluster integrated into the saddle, which allows the definition of a "short tail". Customization is possible through the range of original BMW Motorrad accessories.

Motor

The engine is a boxer 1200 with airbox and exhaust system redefined, as indicated. An air/oil-cooled heart according to a century-old tradition, recalling that the first BMW motorcycle, the R32, was powered by a twin-cylinder boxer engine. The number 12 refers to the engine displacement.
