The new road superbike made in Bavaria, the BMW S1000RR, described in all details by Product Manager, Josef Mächler.

As the Product Manager explains, the S 1000 RR is equipped as standard with DTC, Dynamic Traction Control, which improves the dynamics and safety of the bike, making this superbike a thoroughbred both on the road and on the track. In addition to this, on board the new S 1000 RR we find ABS PRO as standard (specially designed for use on the track), 4 Riding Modes (Rain, road, Dynamic and Race) and the bidirectional Shift Assist Pro, for very fast gear changes without need to use the clutch.

The bike is equipped with the new 999 cc engine, a 4-cylinder in-line with ShiftCam technology, variable valve timing, with a power of 207 HP at 13.500 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11.000 rpm min. The overall weight of the bike is around 197 kg (in running order), 11 less than in the past. The aluminum frame has been completely re-designed, while the suspension department relies on a 45 mm upside-down fork at the front and Full Floater Pro type mono-shock absorber, which works in tandem with the aluminum double swing arm at the rear
