BMW MOTORRAD R nine T Urban G/S - the House of Elica expands the Heritage collection, now including five different models, bringing the new R nine T Urban G/S to its debut. A motorbike built by combining classic lines with modern technique and the refined craftsmanship of the German company. This new Roadster model is equipped with the classic BMW air-cooled Boxer engine.

As on all Heritage models, there are numerous details, carefully crafted, which make it a fascinating motorbike. Aesthetically we notice several aluminum components, the two-part front mudguard, the rubber bellows that protect the fork legs and all the retro style lines, obviously including the tank (17 litres).

All details that underline and mark the classic enduro style of the legendary R80 G/S from 1980. Under the dress is the double-spar frame, with supporting engine, made up of three parts bolted to each other: frame
front main, rear frame, with end frame section and passenger subframe. At the front we find, as the enduro style dictates, a traditional 43 mm diameter telescopic fork and a maximum travel of 125 mm. At the rear, the black painted single-sided Paralever houses a central shock absorber which has a maximum travel of 140 mm.

These characteristics, together with the 61,5° inclination of the steering head, bring the wheelbase to measure 1.527 mm. The light alloy wheels have a double size: 19 inches for the front wheel with 120/70 ZR19 tire and 17 inches for the rear with 170/60 ZR17 tyre. The new Urban G/S will come as standard with road tyres, but with the possibility of fitting knobby tires and cross-spoke rims. The braking system is equipped with a double 320 mm front disc, on which two four-piston brake calipers act and a 265 mm disc, with a two-piston floating caliper at the rear. Everything is supported by the BMW Motorrad ABS system, for precise and safe braking at all times.

The heart of this motorbike is the traditional air boxer, with some modifications (modified the mapping of the control unit, added an active carbon filter for venting the tank and a catalyst for the larger exhaust system), in order to comply with the regulations. anti-pollution EURO 4. The 1.170 instead maintains a maximum power of 110 horsepower at 7.750 rpm and 116 Nm of torque at 6.000, which guarantees fun driving, accompanied by the unmistakable sound, on every occasion. To download power to the ground, the ASC (Automatic Stability Control) system is available as an option.

There are many other options available at the time of purchase: heated grips, LED direction indicators, hand-brushed aluminum tank with smooth or visible welding seam, chrome-plated manifold and anti-theft system.
