BMW Motorrad, R 18 and R 18 Classic: the range of equipment has been expanded [PHOTO]

There are various Original solutions, accessories and optional extras BMW Motorrad through which to personalize the specimens BMW R 18 e R18 Classic. Option 719 represents a further opportunity for customization, highlighting the exclusivity of the models.

The cruisers

La BMW R 18, launched in September 2020, represents the cruiser designed by the Bavarian brand. A model followed in February 2021 by R18 Classic, a tourer variant that recalls the powerful cruisers of the past on which to tackle long journeys. The R 18 Classic can be distinguished in particular by looking at the large windshield, the LED auxiliary headlights, the 16-inch front wheel, the pillion seat and the bags.
The models evoke the tradition of the German brand and examples like the historic one BMW R 5. Examples of technology linked to a new boxer heart which represents another connotative aspect of the model. The market launch coincided with the First Edition, exclusive limited edition models produced until the end of July 2021.

Option 719 for these specimens

There are different possibilities mentioned:

A paint Option 719 Galaxy Dust metallic/Titanium Silver 2 metallic. The Galaxy Dust metallic finish is iridescent, a shade that changes from purple to turquoise blue depending on the light. The pigments, exposed to sunlight, offer a distinctive visual effect. The finish is combined with the mirror Titanium Silver 2 metallic located on the fuel tank. The transition between the surfaces is connected to a hand-applied smoke effect, recalling the legendary R 90 S. The mirror surface, then, is embraced by a classic double white line, as highlighted.

Option 719 Design Package AERO includes front cover, left and right cylinder head covers and left and right intake snorkel cover. Components developed in aluminum sheet with satin and colorless anodized surface. Machined vents appear on the head covers, reminiscent of “streamliners” dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. Featured are a solid copper badge on the front and side covers, chrome-plated and partially finished in white. The white paint, enclosing the numerical sequence "719", recalls the historical emblems then covered in enamel.

Another exclusive proposal is the Option 719 saddle for the specimens. Along with a standard height, a selection of materials and finishes are offered such as two black additional materials combined with a diamond-shaped embossed quilting with embroidered BMW logo and the 719 symbol on the side, thus an integrated heating.

Finally the sets of Option 719 Aero and Icon wheels, respectively in the basic colors matt silver and matt black, enhancing the overall vision of the model. These are cast alloy wheels with a six-spoke design and filigree striations.
