BMW Motorrad Italia: the Spirit of GS project presentedBMW Motorrad Italia: the Spirit of GS project presented

BMW Motorrad Italy signals a new project aimed at exploration and off-road enthusiasts, getting on a BMW GS example. BMW Motorrad Italia evolves and diversifies the proposal, combining the renewed off-road school GS Academy also GS Experience, as part of the project Spirit of GS. Two proposals based on two partnerships with Blue Bike Camp and Enduro Republic.

GS Academy

In the first 15 years there were over 1.700 participants GS Academy. A renovated school with expert instructors from Blue Bike Camp led by the expert Daniele Madrigali, multiple world champion as team manager in the enduro scene.
Aimed at those who wish to approach off-roading with non-specialist motorbikes or maxi enduros, the GS Academy is present in Ziano from Piacenza (PC) with various school fields, technical ribbon routes, artificially generated obstacles and routes in the surroundings of Val Tidone.
Fifteen copies are available to participants BMW Motorrad between R 1250 GS e GS Adventure, F 850 GS e GS Adventure e G 310 GS. The courses in the Piacenza location are scheduled on the dates:

15 16-May
01 02-June
19 20-June
03-04 July
10-11 July
17-18 July
01-02 August
28-29 August
18 19-September
02 03-October

The single course lasts a whole day and includes an initial theory part and subsequent practical training. The instructors are present to help and give safety to the participants, checking their correct technical execution and the right driving style.
Two different types of courses have been scheduled and can also be combined with each other:

GS Academy Camp, developed to teach the fundamentals of off-road driving and carried out mainly on school fields. A one-day course for a maximum of 10 participants per session, generally held on a Saturday and offered at a cost of 450 euros;

GS Academy Track, designed to put into practice and refine the fundamentals of off-road driving on the school fields and on the sections outlined in Val Tidone. There is always a maximum of 10 participants per session and it is generally held on Sundays. It is offered at a cost of 490 euros.

GS Academy Full represents the association between the two courses, taking up an entire weekend. The reported figure is 840 euros. Upon request of groups, there is also the exclusive opportunity to organize courses outside the Blue Bike Camp location, by forwarding a request to your local BMW Motorrad dealer, as indicated.

GS Experience

Another proposal aimed at those who want to have an exclusive individual or small group experience. There is no set date for the courses, but they are organized ad hoc based on the needs of the participants. The figures quoted include the use of one of seven motorcycles between R 1250 GS, F850 GS e GS Adventure available for GS Experience. Reported:

121 courses (one to one), i.e. a participant alone with his instructor, which lasts one day and is offered at a cost of €550.

221 courses (two to one), i.e. two participants who by mutual agreement participate in the course with the same instructor. It lasts one day and is offered at €450 per participant.

321 courses (three to one), a format that involves three participants who by mutual agreement participate in the course with the same instructor, and can expand up to a group of five participants followed by two instructors. It lasts one day and is offered at €400 per participant.

Adventure Experience, a two-day off-road experience for a group of up to five participants, offered at a variable cost based on specific needs between €1.000 and €1.300.

The GS Experience comes to life from the collaboration with EnduroRepublic, present in the enduro carpentry shop in the medieval village of Grazzano Visconti, near the hills of Val Nure in the Piacenza area. The Enduro Republic staff, led by Lorenzo Napodano and counting on the great experience of the head of the school, the multiple champion and team manager Alessandro Tramelli, will be able to support the participants for entire days to improve their off-road driving with a learning-while format -riding, carrying out freeride tours along the numerous defined routes or even multi-day tours towards the sea crossing the hinterland with the possible setting up of base camps to sleep in tents.
