BMW Motorrad Italia: one year after the premiere, the docufilm "If I hug you, don't be afraid" has been launched

On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, available exclusively from 2th April the title on Nexo+ “If I hug you don't be afraid”, a docufilm directed by Niccolò Maria Pagani and produced by Ushuaia Film with BMW Motorrad ItalyIn partnership with Fairy children.

The film premiered last April 2 on Ushuaia Film's YouTube channel and, while the distribution line was being defined, Niccolò Maria Pagani's film was awarded with several awards at various festival events. BMW Motorrad's support for the realization of the film project is part of the activities of the SpecialMente program, which includes CSR works of the Italian branch of the BMW Group, as mentioned.
The Nexo+ platform is a Nexo Digital project supported by media partners Radio Deejay, Radio Capital, Rockol.it, Classic Voice, Danza&Danza, ARTE.it.

The documentary film is a road movie on the theme of autism. The story of a journey undertaken by a father and son and of their strong bond. We also talk about the courage of those who don't give up.
Franco Antonello and his son Andrea decided to embark on a trip when the boy turned 17. An interesting motorbike route through the United States, from which the book was created “If I hug you don't be afraid” written by Fulvio Ervas and published by Marcos y Marcos. A text that has become an international best seller.
In 2018, while filming was starting on the film inspired by their book, directed by Gabriele Salvatores, Franco and Andrea decided to get back in the saddle and travel this time with their BMW along theEurope, and then reach the Morocco and the sands of Sahara desert making the route of the Marrakech Express, Salvatores' film which arrived in theaters 30 years ago. An itinerary of almost 9.000 km, even in difficult conditions, from which the documentary "If I hug you, don't be afraid" was born, directed by Niccolò Maria Pagani and produced by Ushuaia Film.
