BMW Motorrad GS Academy – As usual, the driving course will be divided into two shifts lasting one and a half days each per weekend: from Friday morning to Saturday lunch and from Saturday lunch to Sunday evening. We start with theory in the classroom and in the school fields, then on motorbike to explore the over 100 km of paths, dirt roads and mule tracks of the Marchesi de Frescobaldi estate in the most evocative heart of Tuscany.

The GS Academy offers each member a practically "tailor-made" off road course. Thanks to the limited number of participants per session, it is possible to create small groups, based on driving skills, so that the educational program is functional to everyone's abilities and expectations. Each group is entrusted to an instructor who, thanks to the small number of participants per group, can follow everyone in depth and with a constant presence. The program includes, on the first day, an initial part of theory and technique in the classroom, to provide the fundamental rudiments of off road: riding technique, riding position and motorcycle dynamics. Then we move on to practice in specially set up areas where the most common obstacles encountered off-road are artificially reproduced. The exercises, carried out under the watchful eye of the instructors, will serve on the one hand to identify the abilities of each student and on the other to begin to become familiar with the "unusual terrain" and to put into practice what has been learned in the theoretical phase. There will be no shortage of excursions along free routes immersed in the Tuscan hills.

During the dinner, the history of the most renowned Tuscan wines produced on the Marquis estates will be illustrated. The aim of the course is to teach how to tackle any type of terrain and difficulty. Sand, clay or stones can best be tackled safely and with maximum fun. The GS Academy offers participants its fleet of motorbikes with all the models in the 2016 BMW Motorrad off-road range: the forward-facing twin-cylinder F 700 GS, the F 800 GS and GS Adventure and the legendary R 1200 GS even in the even more “adventurous” Adventure version.
