BMW Motorrad – BMW Motorrad launched its new helmet with head-up display (HUD) at the CES in Las Vegas, 2016 edition, which projects traffic information or information relating to the operation of the motorbike into the rider's field of vision, thus maintaining constant attention on the road, without distractions.

BMW Motorrad has carried out a pre-development process to allow the motorcycles of the future to be able to take advantage of this innovative function. The new helmet with head-up display from BMW Motorrad allows the projection of data directly into the rider's field of vision, who therefore no longer has to look at the instruments of his motorbike, but can concentrate completely and without distractions on the traffic. All displays are freely programmable to provide the best possible support for pilot safety, therefore only useful and relevant information can be viewed at any time. Display options include safety-relevant information, the technical status of the motorcycle, such as tire pressure, oil and fuel level, speed and selected gear, speed limits and traffic sign recognition, as well as warnings about potential imminent dangers.

Furthermore, the BMW Motorrad head-up display helmet also allows the display of contents aimed at increasing the rider's comfort. An example could be the planned route together with navigation advice before setting off.
