In the video proposed by BMW Motorrad A quick overview of some interesting creations is proposed. Models distinguishable by aesthetics and character.

Ideas and style

A first part, as underlined by the title, in which the specimens are the protagonists: Spirit of Passion di Kingston Custom; R 18 Dragster di Roland Sands Design; R nineT Type 18 di Auto Fabrica e R 18 Departed di Custom Work ZONE.
Different shapes, articulated, retro, sporty or visionary; combining BMW Motorrad base and heart with art, technique and types of stylistic vision in four different characterizations.
They all catch the eye by observing the details, the layout, the character transmitted by the ideas of the different customization specialists.
In the project “Spirit of Passion” the connotative element is the fairing. A hand-developed Kingston design body with an art deco layout. Highlights are the paint, the lines that recall a past period and a rear fin, adding some Kingston style details. The technology of the BMW R 18 remains confirmed as the chassis.
Moving on to the second project, the R18 Dragsters, we worked to define a bold vision designed to run in a straight line, with a peculiar sporty imprint and a double tone metallic blue finish with classic BMW white stripes placed by Chris Wood.
A project that took shape from a draft, as described during the presentation, considering the structure and geometry of the vehicle. Another example of customization of the new R 18, being able to remove the rear area for example, or by intervening on other elements or on the finishes themselves.
The third specimen listed in the video is the R nineT Type 18, a reference to the brand's past in aviation and at the same time a prospective and futuristic vision, starting from an example BMW R nineT Scrambler and working on different aspects. Connotative are the matt gray wingtips combined with a sapphire black livery.
Finally, the project studied by Custom Work ZONE, a result of Japanese aesthetic refinement with highly distinctive details. A distinguishable motorcycle with a low and streamlined profile that recalls Ernst Hennes' models dating back to the 20s and 30s. Among the interesting components, the large 21 and 26 inch milled aluminum wheels also stand out.
