The news and celebratory versions

With the renewed ones BMW F 750 GS, F 850 GS e F 850 GS Adventure la “40 Years GS Edition” the 40th anniversary was remembered. An edition in which the chromatic contrast between yellow and black stands out, recalling the iconic BMW R 100 GS. Among the various colours, these examples highlight the presence of new LED directional indicators, a USB charging solution in the front right part of the instrument panel, ABS Pro and DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) systems.

The engine is always an 4 cc liquid-cooled 853-valve twin-cylinder, associated with a six-speed gearbox. A Euro 5 unit which on the BMW F 750 GS transmits 77 horsepower (57 kW) at 7.500 rpm and a torque of 83 Nm at 6.000 rpm, while on the BMW F 850 ​​GS and F 850 ​​GS Adventure it is reached a power of 95 horsepower (70 kW) at 8.250 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 6.250 rpm.
Reported among the Pro mode options are also a dynamic engine brake control and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), as well as other solutions linked to original BMW Motorrad accessories.

BMW R nineT family

There is talk of "40 Years GS Edition" the limited edition also considering the new one R nineT Urban G / S. The versatile R nineT overview model is equipped with an EU-5 approved boxer heart. The maximum power is now 109 horsepower (80 kW) at 7.250 rpm, previously it was 110 horsepower (81 kW) at 7.750 rpm, however the maximum torque remains 116 Nm at 6.000 rpm.

The optional Hill Start Control Pro (HSC Pro) system is a further evolutionary step in terms of performance.
Furthermore, the new features include a functional "Eco" driving mode for efficiency and optional Pro driving modes (Riding Mode Pro). The dynamic control of the engine braking associated with the Pro modes is also new. The heart is a boxer twin, again of 1.254 cm³ EU-5 approved with BMW ShiftCam technology. The maximum power indicated is 136 horsepower (100 kW).
