BMW M 1000 RR 2023: a meeting between power and technical refinement

The evolved BMW M1000RR, for the 2023, is an example of convergence between design and construction technique aimed at maximizing performance.

Sportiness in every detail

The model, together with a basic version featuring a non-metallic Lighwhite shade, is also offered in a variant M 1000 RR M Competition covered in a Blackstorm metallic base color.

Among the obvious aspects, particular emphasis is placed on a newly designed fairing, developed in exposed carbon fiber and equipped with a higher windshield. The fairing also includes an unprecedented carbon fiber front support and the new Bavarian sports car can reach a speed of 314 km/h, higher than the previous 306 km/h. An increase linked to the optimization of the air flow around the rider.
Looking at the front, the M winglet magazines and the downforce in straight lines and when cornering is higher. Thanks to a well-planted front wheel it is possible to draw wider lean angles or obtain higher travel speeds, with the same lean angle. This also results in a lower tendency for the frontal area to lift.

Remaining in this area, for the first time exposed carbon fiber air ducts have been adopted to cool the braking system. They are solutions integrated into the new front mudguard, set to facilitate air flow around the fork and calipers. THE M Aero wheel cover, also in exposed carbon fiber, reduce air resistance, particularly above 250 km/h. The M Aero wheel covers are present on the M 1000 RR M Competition version.

Then i M Carbon rims they are coated with a new clear paint and feature new tapes in M ​​design, which reinforce the technical and sporty picture. Apart from the M Carbon rims, the specimen can also be equipped with forged rims ex works.
The rear section is also new, an aspect that accentuates its sporty vision, looking in particular at the area dedicated to the ergonomic M Endurance saddle and the short support for the license plate. Due to a different wiring with LWS connector, the more compact license plate holder can be unscrewed quickly.

From a technical point of view, the motorcycle features an aluminum frame as a central element, which is combined with an upside-down fork. Furthermore, a central suspension strut with Full Floater Pro kinematics is highlighted.
The motorbike is animated by a four-cylinder in-line engine, liquid cooled. The power reaches altitude 212 horses (156 kW) at 14.500 rpm, while the torque is of 113 Nm at 11.000 rpm.
