BMW M 1000 RR 2023: an evolved form of power

Aesthetics and functionality converge, observing the new new BMW M1000RR. Top example of Bavarian two-wheeled sportiness.

The motorcycle

Along with a basic version coated with a shade Lighwhite non-metallic, there is a variant M 1000 RR M Competition with a basic color in Metallic Blackstorm.

In the frontal area the M winglet have been revised, obtaining greater downforce in straight lines and when cornering. With a well planted front wheel it is possible to reach wider lean angles or obtain higher travel speeds, with the same lean angle. There is a lesser tendency to lift the front wheel, as reported. Remaining in this area, for the first time exposed carbon fiber air ducts have been used to cool the braking system. They are solutions integrated into the new front mudguard, set to promote better air flow around the fork and calipers. The M Aero wheel covers, also in exposed carbon fibre, reduce air resistance, particularly above 250 km/h. The wheel covers M Aero they are visible on the M 1000 RR M Competition version.

The M Carbon rims feature a new transparent paint and the new M design tapes highlight the technical sportiness of the model. Except for the circles M Carbon, the motorcycle can also be equipped with forged rims ex works.
The character of the bike benefits from aerodynamic advances. A newly designed fairing stands out, made of exposed carbon fiber and equipped with a higher windshield. The fairing also features a new carbon fiber front support. The model can reach a speed of 314 km/h, increased from the 306 km/h of the previous model. An increase linked to the optimization of the air flow around the rider.

A new rear section is also highlighted, a factor that makes the bike more aggressive. The vision is energetic also considering the ergonomic M Endurance saddle area and a short support for the license plate. Furthermore, considering a different wiring with LWS connector, the shorter license plate holder with the light clusters can be quickly unscrewed.
The motorbike features an aluminum frame which appears as a central element, which is combined with an upside down fork and also highlights a central strut of the suspension with Full Floater Pro kinematics. The liquid-cooled four-cylinder in-line engine is designed to obtain high performance. The peak power remains at 212 horses (156 kW) at 14.500 rpm and the torque reaches the figure of 113 Nm at 11.000 rpm.
