BMW M 1000 RR: a closer look at the new sports car for 2023 [VIDEO]

The new BMW M1000RR represents the new sporting pinnacle among the two-wheeled examples of the German brand. The peculiar aspects of the model are summarized in the video proposed by BMW Motorrad on Youtube.

The evolution of a concept

The motorcycle is equipped with an aluminum frame which appears as a central element, which is associated with an upside down fork and there is also a central strut of the suspension with Full Floater Pro kinematics. The liquid-cooled four-cylinder in-line heart is designed to express high performance. As before, peak power remains at 212 horses (156 kW) at 14.500 rpm and the torque reaches 113 Nm at 11.000 rpm.
As well as a basic version covered with a Non-metallic Lighwhite color, there is also a variant M 1000 RR M Competition and with a base color in Blackstorm metallic protagonist in the film.

The character of the new BMW M1000RR it is also linked to progress on the aerodynamic front. It starts with a newly designed fairing, developed in exposed carbon fiber and equipped with a higher windshield. The fairing also features a carbon fiber front support for the first time. The model can reach a speed of 314 km/h, increased from the 306 km/h of the previous model. An increase due to the optimization of the air flow around the rider, as reported.
A new rear section is also highlighted, a factor that makes the model more aggressive. The vision is sportier even if you notice the ergonomic M Endurance saddle it's a short support for the license plate. Furthermore, given a changed wiring with LWS connector, the shorter license plate holder with the light clusters can be unscrewed more quickly, according to the indications.

Returning to the front, also the M winglet have been revised, achieving greater downforce in a straight line and when cornering. With a firm front wheel it is possible to reach wider lean angles or obtain higher travel speeds, with the same lean angle; as well as feeling a lesser tendency to lift the front wheel. Precisely on this area, for the first time, gods are used Exposed carbon fiber air ducts to cool the brakes. These are solutions integrated into the new front mudguard, set to promote better air flow around the fork and braking system calipers. THE M Aero wheel cover, also in exposed carbon fibre, further reduce air resistance, particularly above 250 km/h. The M Aero wheel covers are present on the M 1000 RR M Competition version.
Finally, the M Carbon rims are characterized by a new transparent paint. The new M design ribbons underline the technical side and sporty attitude of the model. Apart from the M Carbon rims, as reported, the motorcycle can now also be equipped with forged rims ex works.
