BMW M 1000 RR 2023: access to a new level of sportiness [PHOTO]

Also available in the M Competition version

La BMW M1000RR evolves, representing a new expressive peak of dynamism according to BMW Motorrad. A motorcycle powered by a liquid-cooled four-cylinder in-line engine designed for racing and equipped with an aluminum frame, which appears as a central element with an upside-down fork and a central suspension strut with Full Floater Pro kinematics. Together with a basic version covered with a Non-metallic Lighwhite color, there is also a variant M 1000 RR M Competition with a basic color in Metallic Blackstorm.

Functional aerodynamics and greater speed

The potential of the new BMW M1000RR are linked, in particular, to the steps forward made from an aerodynamic point of view. Above all, a newly designed fairing stands out, developed in exposed carbon fiber and equipped with a higher windshield. There fairing it is also equipped for the first time with a carbon fiber front support, with a low and rigid weight. The new M 1000 RR can reach i 314 km/h, increased from the 306 km/h of the previous model. The increase in maximum speed is due tooptimization of air flow around the rider, according to information.
A newly designed rear section is also highlighted, an aspect that makes the model more aggressive. A vision also accentuated by the ergonomic M Endurance saddle and a short license plate support. Furthermore, given a changed wiring with LWS connector, the shorter license plate holder with the light clusters can be unscrewed even more quickly.

Returning to the front area, during the definition of the aerodynamics also the M winglet have been revised, offering greater downforce in straight lines and when cornering. With a firm front wheel it is possible to achieve wider lean angles or higher travel speeds, with the same lean angle, as well as feeling a lower tendency to lift the front wheel. It is precisely on this area that attention is concentrated in considering the optimization of the entire aerodynamics. For the first time in the history of BMW Motorrad, employees are employed Exposed carbon fiber air ducts to cool the brakes. These are solutions integrated into the new front mudguard, set to promote better air flow around the fork and braking system calipers. The M Aero wheel covers, also developed in exposed carbon fibre, further reduce air resistance, particularly above 250 km/h. THE M Aero wheel covers are linked to the version M 1000 RR M Competition.
The M Carbon rims feature a new transparent paint. The new M design tapes highlight the technical side and competition attitude of the model. Apart from the M Carbon rims, the bike can now also be equipped with forged rims ex works, as reported on the occasion.

Propulsive heart and power

The model is equipped with the already well-known water-cooled four-cylinder in-line engine. As before, the power summit remains at 212 horses (156 kW) at 14.500 rpm with a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11.000 rpm.
