new BMW K 1600 GT e K 1600 GTL are protagonists in a film proposed by BMW Motorrad on YouTube, described in different aspects.

The quality characteristics

Together with the other models BMW K 1600 B e BMW K 1600 Grand America, represent a technological evolution of the K 1600 concept. The bikes are all powered by a six-cylinder engine.
Accompanied on the occasion by Toni Decker, Product Manager 6-Cylinders BMW Motorrad, we discover the different aspects of the new BMW K 1600 GT e BMW K 1600 GTL, distinguishable in particular by the presence or absence of a top case. Two dynamic and accessorized expressions: the first synonymous with agility and dynamism; the second characterized by strong ergonomics, in addition to the aforementioned top case.

For each example of the new K 1600 overviews are provided three color variations: a basic one, another stylish one and an Option 719.
From a technical point of view, the solution BMW Motorrad Dynamic ESA “Next Generation” (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) on the new K 1600 GT, K 1600 GTL, K 1600 B and K 1600 Grand America transmits high levels of safety while driving, supporting performance and comfort. There is also an automatic compensation of the driving position for various load levels.

The models feature light clusters LED , in particular we highlight the new full LED headlight with LED lens technology and a daytime driving light, depending on the market. The standard aspects also include a rotatable “Adaptive Headlight” function, with the LED low beam that rotates when cornering depending on the angle of inclination, according to the indications.
A new color screen is also standard TFT da 10,25 inches, which integrates navigation maps and connectivity. Another interesting element is the2.0 audio system, present as standard equipment on the new K 1600 GTL and K 1600 Grand America and offered as optional factory equipment for the K 1600 GT and K 1600 B.

Propulsion unit

The heart is a six cylinders in line, evolved in consideration of the legislation Euro 5 with a drag torque control (MSR), a new engine control and a knock sensor system. We also note two additional broadband lambda probes and a BMS-O electronic engine management system.
The power touches i 160 horses (118 kW) already at a rotation speed of 6.750 rpm, the torque reaches 180 Nm at 5.250 rpm.
