BMW K 1600 B e To 1600 Grand America appear in the proposal of examples which represents an evolution of the K 1600 concept. Technological models powered by a six-cylinder engine.

The models

In a video proposed by BMW Motorrad, on YouTube, the different characteristics of the two new features are described accompanied by Guy Katz.
Together with the BMW K 1600 GT e K 1600 GTL, the latter with more accentuated ergonomics and equipped with a top case; model BMW K 1600 B it is a further expressive variant with a “streamlining” configuration and a low bagger-style rear section. On the same base rests the BMW K 1600 Grand America, a concept in which exclusive equipment and dynamic power coexist.
For each specimen we report: three color variations: a basic one, another stylish one and an Option 719, such as the Option 719 “Midnight” linked only to the K 1600 B and K 1600 Grand America examples.

The specimens have optical groups a LED , the new full LED headlight with LED lens technology and a daytime driving light, depending on the market, stands out in particular. The rotatable "Adaptive Headlight" function is also standard, with the LED low beam that rotates when cornering depending on the angle of inclination, according to the indications.
The models also feature a new color screen TFT da 10,25 inches which integrates navigation maps and connectivity, a 2.0 audio system as standard equipment for the new K 1600 GTL and K 1600 Grand America and as optional factory equipment for the K 1600 GT and K 1600 B models.

Furthermore, the BMW Motorrad Dynamic ESA “Next Generation” (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) on the new K 1600 GT, K 1600 GTL, K 1600 B and K 1600 Grand America offers even higher levels of safety while driving, given damping that automatically adapts to driving conditions and maneuvers. There is an automatic compensation of the driving position for the various load levels.

Thruster

The six-cylinder in-line engine has been developed in consideration of the Euro 5 regulation, with a new engine control, a knock sensor system and a drag torque control (MSR). We highlight a BMS-O electronic engine management system, two knock sensors and two additional broadband lambda probes.
The power reaches i 160 horses (118 kW) already at a rotation speed of 6.750 rpm, 1.000 rpm less than the previous figure. The couple touches i 180 Nm at 5.250 rpm, as indicated.
