Una X indicates their different nature. BMW Motorrad introduced on the occasion of EICMA 2019 new F 900 R e F 900.

The Roadster

A sinuous but also tapered vision. Among the aspects highlighted are instrumentation TFT, standard seat height a 815 millimeters (variable between 770 and 865 mm), LED headlights optionally in Headlight Pro configuration with adaptive turning beam, steel frame with new rear subframe, as well as engine as a stressed element.
It features a front upside down fork 43 millimeters with excursion from 135 millimeters, then a central double-arm swingarm in aluminum and a mono-shock adjustable for preload and rebound. The braking system with BMW Motorrad ABS and dynamic brake light consists of a double front disc from 320 mm with four-piston radial calipers and a single rear disc from 265 mm, as well as a floating single-piston caliper. Various technological solutions. The thrust is provided by a twin-cylinder 853 cc offering 105 horses of maximum power a 8.500 rpm e 92 Nm of torque, as reported.

Touring

The propulsion unit and similar technological solutions for F 900, style and approach instead appear different, reminiscent of the new one S 1000 XR. A medium-sized Touring example characterized by a standard windscreen, an overall higher and more upright riding position even in light of a handlebar raised by 30 mm and backed away from 85 mm, then footrests lowered by 45 mm and positioned further than 45 mm, as indicated. The frame is made of steel linked to a new rear subframe and the engine always appears as a stressed component. The standard saddle height amounts to 825 mm (variable from 775 to 870 mm, as indicated), the curb weight instead is 219 kg.
Moving on to the chassis, an upside down front fork is indicated 43 millimeters with excursion from 170 millimeters, an aluminum double wishbone rear swingarm and mono-shock absorber with travel equal to 172 mm, adjustable in preload and rebound and located centrally. So a brake system with BMW Motorrad ABS consisting of a double front disc from 320 mm and four-piston radial calipers, while behind a single disc 265 mm and single-piston floating caliper, taking up the information dedicated to the model.
